Books - A set of written, printed, or blank pages fastened along one side and encased between protective covers.
As what “Book” is defined, is it’s ‘just’ a set of written or printed paper… useless may it sounds but the true essence of these set of papers is what’s written inside.
For some of us, books are important and for some it is as useless as it is defined.
But who really need a book?
Dr. Jose Rizal was a man of incredible intellectual power, with amazing artistic talent, he excelled at anything that he put his mind to - medicine, poetry, sketching, architecture, sociology, first learned the alphabet from his mother using a book at 3, and could read and write at age. Andres Bonifacio, the "Father of the Philippine Revolution" he was one of the founders and organizers of the Kataastaasan Kagalang-galang na Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan or Katipunan, despite of limited salary, devoted some of his money to buy books to educate himself. His collection of books included the Spanish translation of a book on the history of the French Revolution, Eugene Sue's The Wandering Jew, Rizal's Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, The Ruins of Palmyra, the Bible, Les Miserables, and various law books. These are some of the Philippine Heroes who make use of the books to educate themselves and eventually make their markings in the history. Books help us understand who we are, our roots, our history and through these, how we are to behave.

It is a unique coinage used specifically in the upland towns of Cavite. It comes from the phrase “Tingnan ko raw”, which means “Let me see.”
The book is a compilation of the historical data about the town of Alfonso in the province of Cavite resulted of the years of reach conducted by the author of the book. The book discuss about the brief information, social and physical aspects of the town’s challenges, the towns’ development, food culture and social organization. The author also included the mythical data where the original name of the place originated, the town resident’s belief and practices, folk medicine which the town is best known off.
Sahiyang: Mga Piling Sanaysay sa kasaysayang Kabitenyo
